Job Summary
We are looking for caring, reliable, and resilient Support Workers to join our growing team across Bristol. You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs in their own supported living homes. Your role is to provide personalised support, promote independence, and help individuals live full, meaningful lives in their communities.
Responsibilities
- Support daily routines: cooking, cleaning, personal care, managing finances.
- Build trusting relationships through consistency and compassion.
- Support mental and emotional wellbeing, including managing challenging behaviour
- Help individuals access community services, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Assist with medication (with training).
- Keep accurate records and update support plans.
- Work closely with families, healthcare teams, and social services.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Providing overnight support as needed, ensuring safety and reassurance.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
What We are Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in care or supported living
- Empathetic and person-centred approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend, and sleep-in shifts)
- Right to work in the UK
- Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Full UK driving licence (some locations may require travel between homes)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
